Op deze online expositie nodigen we je uit om kennis te maken met het werk van beeldend kunstenaar Kees van de Wetering.
Geboren op 26 december 1949 te Rotterdam. Woont en werkt in Zierikzee (Holland).
Studeerde van 1968 tot 1974 aan de Academie voor Beeldende Kunsten te Rotterdam.

Music
Honderden schilders zijn mij al voorgegaan met het Tulpen thema, maar toch geeft het een goed gevoel schilderijen te creëren met een geheel eigen variant op het thema. Techniek en talent komen samen op het doek. Daar doe ik het voor.
Zo blijft het schilderen een uitdaging, steeds weer opnieuw.
Hundreds of painters have already preceded me with the Tulip theme, but it still gives a good feeling to create paintings with their own variation on the theme. Technique and talent come together on the canvas. That's what I do it for.
So painting remains a challenge, again and again.

FRAGMATIC ART
De schilderijen van Kees van de Wetering komen voort uit het idee om het onderwerp te vertalen in beeld- en kleurvlakken. Door vooraf te schetsen met potlood en kleurpotlood ontstaat het werk, dat zich kenmerkt doorvormen die speels verspringen en elkaar aanvullen.
Een groot aantal werken, van tekening tot aquarel en vervolgens schilderijen met acrylverf, ontstaan in een vloeiende beweging.
Kees van de Wetering creëert uit de primaire kleuren zijn eigen kleurenpalet.
Kees van de Wetering's paintings stem from the idea of translating the subject into image and color planes. By sketching in advance with pencil and colored pencil, the work is created, which is characterized by shapes that jump playfully and complement each other.
A large number of works, from drawing to watercolor and then paintings with acrylic paint, are created in a fluid movement.
Kees van de Wetering creates his own color palette from the primary colours.
